On-Call Wildland Firefighter
WFS is looking for new and experienced personnel. WFS comprises firefighting hand crews, six fire engines, tree chipper, and other misc. equipment, which are available nationwide, but most commonly Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and occasionally California, Colorado and Alaska. Employees are on an on-call basis and must be available to dispatch 24 hours a day 7 days a week, including holidays, and available to leave within an hour from dispatch call. Assignments can last up to 14 days consistent, with a 2 day break for as long as the job requires. Fire season can run from June till October, but varies every year. Lots of opportunities for advancement. We’re also looking for sink, chipper and shower operators as well, to work in camp.
On-Call Hazwoper Trained Personnel – Nationwide
WFS has in-house training available and is happy to train any interested applicants.
- 40 Hr. Hazwoper and/or current 8 Hr. Refresher Certificate
- Current Hazmat Physical with Doctor’s Permission, stating you are qualified under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(F)
- DOT PMHSA Drug Test
- Pulmonary Function Test
- Respirator Certificate
